Capturing the Place - A Three Day Artistic Retreat
CAPTURING THE PLACE: A THREE DAY ARTISTIC RETREAT WITH HILARY BEATTIE

A three-day artistic retreat for like-minded people, in the perfect tranquility of the historic setting of an old needle mill and the nearby Cistercian Abbey and grounds.

In this retreat we will be developing sketchbook skills to allow us to capture and record the essence of a place. You will learn to use colour, sketching, drawing, mark making, photographs and journalling to enable memories and impressions to be held and re-visited whenever you wish.

The cost of the three day workshop is £180, to include all your materials and tea, coffee and biscuits - just bring a sketchbook.

WHEELWRIGHT DISPLAY

A display of tiny, detailed models by the Guild of Model Wheelwrights set in the beautiful grounds of Forge Mill Museum.

Guild members construct and exhibit precision scale models of a wide variety of horse drawn vehicles and farm implements. Often included are models which have won major awards in national exhibitions.

Forge Mill Needle Museum and Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre holds many different events throughout the year.

These can link in with National Days or initiatives, seasonal themes or temporary exhibitions that are on display at the museum.

In 2017 the events programme is as exciting as ever and includes all sorts of events: Medieval Festivals, Farm Fun Days, workshops, displays, and many more.

With such a variety of events there is something for everybody!
