Cartoon Drawing Workshop for Adults with Lee Bradley
CARTOON DRAWING WORKSHOPS: ADULTS

Learn to draw your own cartoons with artist Lee Bradley.

A six-week workshop to develop your drawing skills using 80s cartoons as inspiration. Each week you will look at a different aspect of drawing cartoons, including head shots, body structures, facial expressions, dynamic poses and inking.

This course will run for six weeks on the following Tuesdays: 25 April, 2 May, 9 May, 16 May, 23 May and 30 May.

CARTOON DRAWING WORKSHOPS: YOUNG PEOPLE (12 to 18)

Learn to draw your own cartoons with artist Lee Bradley.

A six-week workshop to develop your drawing skills using 80s cartoons as inspiration. Each week you will look at a different aspect of drawing cartoons, including head shots, body structures, facial expressions, dynamic poses and inking.

Remembering the Forties Event Day at Forge Mill

EXPLORING AVERY NEEDLE CASES: A PRESENTATION BY TERRY MEINKE

Forge Mill Needle Museum is delighted to host an illustrated presentation by Terry Meinke, one of the leading authorities on the life and work of William Avery.

Terry explores the history of the company, along with the design and variety of these captivating and highly collectable objects.

Terry has written and contributed to many articles on this subject, and has published a book 'My Avery Needle Case Collection'. In addition, she has been asked to give presentations all over the world.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about these fascinating needle cases and the man behind this famous Redditch company.

WHEELWRIGHT DISPLAY

A display of tiny, detailed models by the Guild of Model Wheelwrights set in the beautiful grounds of Forge Mill Museum.

Guild members construct and exhibit precision scale models of a wide variety of horse drawn vehicles and farm implements. Often included are models which have won major awards in national exhibitions.

ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS: OUTDOOR THEATRE

Quantum Theatre brings its lively brand of comedy, music and magic to Lewis Carroll's timeless classic.

Michael Whitmore's enchanting new adaptation charts this fantastical, fabulous and whimsical world, in a theatrical feast for all the family.

Forge Mill Needle Museum and Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre holds many different events throughout the year.

These can link in with National Days or initiatives, seasonal themes or temporary exhibitions that are on display at the museum.

In 2017 the events programme is as exciting as ever and includes all sorts of events: Medieval Festivals, Farm Fun Days, workshops, displays, and many more.
